The Alliance has received permission from The Frank Driggs Collection
and Jazz at Lincoln Center to use a wonderful photograph of Louis Armstrong in London, 1933, in relation to our work to preserve history and to oppose racism!
       This license is a result of Alice Bernstein's 2005 interview
with Frank Driggs (1930-2011), the Frank Driggs at worknoted and beloved jazz historian, record producer, and writer (shown to the right), whose archive of jazz photographs, recordings, sheet music, posters and memorabilia-- more than 100,000 items-- is considered the greatest collection of jazz photographs in the world.
